Abstract
Cottony maple scale is a soft scale insect that attacks nursery crops. Its most recognizable feature is the female's wax-like egg sac, which is about 1 centimeter long. The mature female scales are 2-5 millimeters long and light to dark brown. Part of the integrated pest management series.
