Abstract
West Nile virus is a mosquito-borne disease transmitted by the bite of a Culex mosquito. Since it's discovery in the US in 1999, we have learned a lot about the virus, its epidemiology, and it's mosquito vector. This publication includes relevant information on the virus, how to protect oneself and prevent transmission, and the epidemiology of the virus.
