Abstract
Your child participated in a lesson called Dollar Days. Additionally, the book called “The Penny Pot” was read to them. As a part of this lesson, your child practiced finding different combinations of money to represent a certain amount. For example, they found that 50 cents could
be two quarters or it could be five dimes or even 50 pennies. Practicing this skill helps children to strengthen their ability to add and subtract in a real-life situation.
It also helps children to practice a crucial skill necessary for making change.
