After the number of confirmed cases fell throughout much of 2024, HPAI returned with a vengeance in November 2024 and has continued into early 2025. Anyone involved with poultry production should review their biosecurity practices and take all steps necessary to assure the health and safety of their flocks. Vaccination is not an option, and antibiotics do not work against viruses. Biosecurity is the most effective tool in our toolbox, but you must use that tool every time you visit your flock.
