Abstract
Agricultural food systems currently face a wide range of complex challenges due to the decreasing availability of agricultural land, climate change, the threat of dwindling water resources, and the increasing pollution of both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. Understanding how a circular bioeconomy can be established within the context of African food systems, is critical to realizing the circular food systems that would propel Africa towards more resilient and sustainable food systems.
