Abstract
Genomic testing has been prevalent in cattle production for many years for breeding stock decisions, but it also has potential to assist in feeder cattle decisions. This study found feedlots would pay, on average, up to 4.60% more for genomic tested feeder cattle than feeder cattle that were not genomic tested. Additionally, the study revealed that feedlots did not have a complete understanding of genomic tests and their costs prior to the survey.
