Abstract

Cattle producers face numerous pests, including lice, ticks, and flies, which negatively impact their herds and cause economic loss. Horn flies in the US alone cause over $2.3 billion annually. Non-target control of lice, cattle grubs, and heel flies is a concern, as it can lead to insecticide resistance. This study aimed to identify the perceived impact of different livestock pests, specifically arthropods, on cattle operations in Tennessee and Texas.
