Title: Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus: An Emerging Virus of Tomatoes in Tennessee

Summary

Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV) is one of the most damaging plant pathogens that impacts tomato crops globally and has continued to spread across the United States. The virus can cause production and economic losses in select host species. Currently, there are two strains and over ten different recombinants of the virus disease complex. In some regions, there are viral-like elements which interact with the virus called “satellites” that can intensify symptoms within a host.
