Self-Funded Graduate Students on Department Faculty/Staff Listing

As we continue to refine the processes for presenting our faculty, staff and graduate students on our new websites, we have discovered those graduate students who are not being paid through an assistantship are not showing on our sites. These students are not in IRIS as paid employees. We have determined the best way to capture their information and present them on our websites is to add them in IRIS as a “Friend of the University”.

When adding a student(s) as a “Friend of the University” in IRIS, create a position titled “FR-GRA Student” and transfer or add all students not on assistantship to that position (keeping position number the same for all).
