Brad Kelly, MSc

Grad Research Assistant | Animal Science

Specialization: Animal Behavior and Welfare

Overview

I was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota and obtained my BSc in Biology from the University of Minnesota. After my undergraduate studies I worked in preclinical research and veterinary anesthesia as a surgical technician. In 2024 I obtained my MSc from the University of Kentucky, where my thesis research was focused on public perceptions of precision dairy technologies and intersections with animal welfare perceptions. At UTK, I'm particularly interested in the behavior of dairy calves, and the effects of early life management practices on development and welfare later in life.
