Interested in becoming a beekeeper? Our Master Beekeeping courses are held across the state. The 2020 calendar will be published soon. Members of the VSA (VOLunteer Supported Agriculture) receive a weekly half-bushel box filled with a variety of fresh, organic, local produce grown by VSA student interns. Shares are available seasonally on a first-come, first-served basis, and all fees help to buy seeds and supplies, as well as to fund the student intern stipends. The Victory Garden in Collierville, Tennessee, provides vegetables, flowers, and something more unique–hope for some of its food insecure neighbors. Chris Cooper (left), Extension agent in Shelby County, and Memphis-area Tennessee Extension Master Gardeners maintain the community garden, from which local food pantries receive weekly donations of fresh produce.
