For plateau and central Tennessee gardeners, this event is a must. Hosted by the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture, the festival will be held at the Plateau AgResearch and Education Center and include talks from UT researchers and faculty.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Education sessions will feature topics like best plants for the Plateau, cool-season color, and choosing the right ornamental tree for a location. Sessions focused on growing food items will be presented as well, including talks on tomatoes, home fruit growing, and results of the Tennessee Home Garden Variety Trails<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In additional to educational workshops, the festival will also include wagon tours of the Plateau AgResearch and Education Center and an exhibit area with garden vendors. An Ask-the-Expert table will also be available for any plant or pest identification or general garden problem-solving needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This event is free and open to the public. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. CDT with presentations from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food items will be available for purchase throughout the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Plateau AgResearch and Education Center is located off of Highway 70N at 320 Experiment Station Road in Crossville.
